about the band

Circadian Rhythm began in the late fall of 2006 as a three-piece cover band. Rising from such local bands as The Generations and Influenza, the band realized a potential for writing progressive, original material, and began to pursue a more unique sound.

They played as many open mics and gigs as possible, but felt the sound was not quite complete. Derek joined the group after a successful open mic night jam in early 2007, adding saxophone with some newly acquired pedal effects. Falling right in with the group, the new four-piece was off and running. It wasn't long before more keyboard and synthesized effects were brought on board to bring even more creative sounds out of the already progressive group. The creative juices continue to flow, so you can always count on hearing something new at each and every show. Come out to some live shows and expect to hear it all: rock, funk, jazz, jam, hip-hop, and what-have-you, all fused together.

Circadian Rhythm is based out of Northeast Connecticut, and plays all over the Eastern side of the state. Expect to see the band on the move soon, branching into Hartford, Providence, Boston and beyond later this year. Collectively the band hopes to keep pushing an innovative and progressive edge to appeal to audiences of all ages, shapes and sizes.
